Island Walk, Village Walk, and Verona Walk Great Communities to Live In
Island Walk, Village Walk, and Verona Walk: Amenity Rich Gated Communities in Naples, FL
When Realtors talk about the “Walks”, they are referring to the Island Walk, Village Walk and Verona Walk communities built by Divosta in the late 90’s through the mid 2000’s. Despite being built over 20 years ago, these three communities still remain extremely sought after places to live in Naples. These residential areas have maintained their distinct charm and appeal over the years. These neighborhoods were (and still are) special. Constructed of poured concrete, they were built to last. All three neighborhoods offered the same floor plans for single family homes, villas and Townhouses.
Types of Homes
Single family homes range from 2 – 4 bedrooms, some with a den, and from 1,400 – 2,700 square feet. Village Walk also has some single family homes that are as big as 3,200 square feet. Attached villas range from 1,500 square feet to just under 2,000. The 2 story townhouses are between 1,500 – 1,900 square feet. Dependent on the original owner’s choices, some of the residences have their own pools and spas, extended lanais, with most having beautiful water views of the lakes and fountains. The townhouses come with detached garages with a rear entry alley and a very large outdoor area between the garage and home. Some of the townhomes have pools, others just use it as a huge outdoor living space. The streets around the Townhouse area give off a quaint and friendly ambiance with their inviting front porches and well-kept sidewalks.
Island Walk is located in North Naples off Vanderbilt Beach Road and Logan Blvd. It has over 1,850 residences within the secured gated community. As with all of the 'Walks' they have 24-hour security at the Vanderbilt entrance. In addition, they recently opened up a resident only exit point on the northwest corner of the property allowing residents to exit-only onto Logan Blvd.
Village Walk with over 850 residences, is also located in North Naples off Vanderbilt Beach Road between Livingston Road and I-75. Village Walk is only 5 miles from Vanderbilt Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, and even closer to many dining and shopping options within just a few miles.
Verona Walk has over 1,900 residences and is located southeast of the other "Walk" communities. They boast the same incredible amenties as Island and Village Walk. Verona Walk is located off Collier Blvd (951) not far from Tamiami Trail (US41). In recent years, the area has developed and offers many dining and shopping choices as well as bigger anchor stores. Verona Walk is just 12 miles from Marco Island and 11 miles from 5th Street South, making it a convenient central location.
Even with these large communities having thousands of homes, there is only a handful of properties that are ever for sale at the same time. The communities are well run, beautifully maintained, and boast very affordable HOA fees, especially for all of the amenities they offer.
Island Walk, Village Walk, and Verona Walk all boast a well-equipped Town Center, comprising amenities such as a restaurant, resort-style pools, lap pools, tennis courts, pickleball, putting green, a gas station, fitness rooms, a library, a post office, meeting rooms, a car wash, extensive biking and walking trails with connecting bridges, and various other recreational facilities. For many residents, the comprehensive offerings within their 24-hour guarded and gated communities make it unnecessary to venture outside for entertainment or essential services.
